About Services

For nearly twelve years, Access has offered classes in English as a second language (ESL), computer skills, and microenterprise development for Spanish-speaking immigrants. Through partnership with the Instituto Nacional de Educacionpara Adults (INEA), Access also offers immigrants the opportunity to earn their primary or secondary school diploma. All of these services are offered for free, no fees or tuition charged.

Access' adult education program for immigrants is upported by the institue for Mexicans in the Exterior (IME) through scholarship funds. Classes are held in Chula Vista and at our main office in Linda Vista.

Computer Class for Spanish speakers: Typing, e-mail, web, blogs, how to buy and sell on the web, Facebook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, and much more!

English as a Second Language Class: Grammar, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, listening/speaking skills from beginning level to advance level, with emphasis on "survival" skills and workplace English

Microenterprise: Free assistance for small businesses, assistance at planning, marketing etc. For more information visit the Microenterprise page or contact Daisy Alonso at (858) 560-0871, extension 108.

Plaza Comunitaria: In collaboration with Mexico’s National Institute for Adult Education (INEA), Access offers primary and secondary education for Spanish-speakers who did not have the opportunity to finish their basic education in their native countries. Students who have gone through the program have raised their educational level therefore improving their conditions of life
